Saf-T-Flo - Components - Tip Configurations

Standard Tip A plain end cut suitable for basic chemical feed services.
SAF-T-SEAL Elastomeric Tip Available on 3/8" and 1/2" solution tubes, the SAF-T-SEAL tip is designed for chemicals where the injector is subject to excessive fouling due to premature mixing within the solution tube. The tip operates by opening upon positive pressure from the chemical feed. The addition of the SAF-T-SEAL tip can help resist or eliminate premature mixing conditions, thereby extending maintenance cycles. Common chemical applications: Sodium Hypochlorite, Fluoride, Ammonia and Caustic Soda. SAF-T-SEAL is available in Viton or EPDM.
45° Bevel Tip The addition of the bevel tip can induce turbulence at the point injection. The turbulence can help prolong the life of the solution tube by inhibiting chemical from migrating up the downstream side of the solution tube. An alignment arrow is provided to allow for proper orientation of the bevel relative to the direction of the process flow.
Multiple Orifice Diffuser Diffusers are an effective choice for dispersing a chemical feed across larger diameter process pipes. Compatible alloy diffuser tubes are preferred because of the longer insertion lengths. All diffusers are custom manufactured to a customer provided specification. An alignment arrow is provided to allow for proper orientation of the diffuser holes relative to the direction of the process flow. A diffuser is not recommended in lieu of a mixing device such as a static mixer.
